Every mark on this board has an origin story. Ambrosia maple gets its name — and its extraordinary appearance — from the ambrosia beetle, a tiny insect that bores into the wood and introduces a natural fungus as it travels. The result is a canvas of sweeping gray, tan, and warm brown streaks winding through a creamy maple base, along with small scattered entry points that dot the surface like punctuation. It’s one of nature’s most unexpected artistic collaborations, and no two pieces are ever alike.

Milled at our Silverhill workshop, this board brings that wild, organic patterning into a form that’s refined and ready for the table. At 22 inches long and a full inch thick, it’s a confident, substantial piece — wide enough to hold a thoughtfully arranged spread of cheeses, charcuterie, nuts, and seasonal accompaniments, and striking enough to earn a permanent spot on your counter or wall between uses.

This is a board for people who appreciate that the best things often come with a story attached.
